Original Coconut rum as a base. Malibu starts with molasses from the finest sugarcane crops and it is distilled three times at the West Indies distillery in Barbados. Natural coconut flavored liqueur and peach and cream flavors are blended before bottling in Canada at 42 proof. It pours to a peach Jell-O color. The aroma is peach, coconut and molasses. The sweet peach entry is joined by cream creating a peach milkshake taste. Rum flavor arrives at the peak before fading with coconut and cream, and finishing with a rum burn as I swallow, and long sweet lightly tart peach finish.

Flavoring rum is like infusing any other liquor. Put your flavor ingredients in our rum and place in an air tight container. Check on it in one to two days and taste test. If you feel like it has all the flavor you're looking for - you're done! If it could use a little more time - leave it and check back in in a day or two.
Rum comes in many fruity flavors like strawberry, coconut and mango - to name a few. There's also spiced flavor rums if you're looking for something a little cozier. There's also different varietals of rum which vary in color and flavor. Whiite (also known as light or silver) rum is the lighest in color and flavor. Rum also comes in golden and dark, both fo which are named by their color. Golden and dark rum have more of a caramel kick - dark rum being the darkest and richest in caramel flavor.
Flavored rum is rum that has had spices and other flavoring agents added during the distillation process. Flavored rums are white rums that have flavors, sugars and coloring added. Flavors tend to lower ABV so these liquors are often less than 40% ABV. You'll find that many flavored rums have hints of the tropics - with flavors like banana, coconut, lime and mango.
