Product description

Zacapa No. 23 is an award-winning Ultra Premium aged rum, masterfully crafted in Guatemala using the first press of sugar cane and aged 2300m 'Above the Clouds' to slow the aging process, developing layers of aromas and flavors within the rum. The balance of delicate and unique flavors of Zacapa No. 23 is derived from a blend of aged rums between 6 and 23 years old, originating from our take on the “Sistema Solera” aging process. Zacapa No. 23 is aged in selected barrels that previously aged robust American whiskey, delicate sherries and fine Pedro Ximénez wines, creating a smooth & balanced rum. Every bottle of No. 23 is adorned with a hand-woven petate band crafted by our community of over 700 Guatemalan weavers. Zacapa No. 23 Rum is best served neat, on the rocks or in your favorite dark spirit cocktail. Includes one 80 proof 1 L bottle of Zacapa No. 23 Rum. Please drink responsibly.Taste: A complex, full-bodied rum with flavors of vanilla, caramelized fruits and spiced oak.

They sent me a bottle that the corch was broken, seems to be a very old version of the Zacapa Rum. The box was opened as same as the bottle due to the corch broken. Went inside the bottle. Still have it, just in case. Very bad and sad experience

FAQs

Aged rum is older rums that have matured and lost a bit of the original liquid from evaporation, but have a more complex character than unaged rum. That amount of liquid that evaporates during aging is affectionately called the 'angels share'.
The best way to drink anything is the way that you like it. If you're looking for a suggestion - try it the same way you would whisky. Often rum is drank with a bit of water in it, or an ice cube or two. This gives rum the best sipping experience.
This depends. Often, rum is required to age for at least one year. However, rums are aged for differing years which attributes to changes in color and flavor. White rum is aged for the least amount of time, where dark rum is aged for some time.
Rum is aged in oak casks - commonly bourbon casks, but sometimes wooden casks or stainless steel tanks. Each distiller is different - so its always a good idea to read how they age their rum for a full understanding of the product.
