Product description

Expertly blended by the Maestros de Ron Bacardí, BACARDÍ Gran Reserva Diez is aged for a minimum of 10 years in American White Oak barrels using the undisturbed aging process, in which rum bases are barrel-aged without being disturbed - no tapping, refilling or blending in the barrel. It is then filtered for a smooth finish. BACARDÍ Gran Reserva Diez dark gold rum is worth the wait. Bright notes of caramelized tropical fruits, banana and pears. Rich notes of vanilla and charred oak. Deep amber in appearance.

I have tried this so many ways... Neat, Caesar, Mule etc. Most impressive though is in cocktails where simple syrup or sugar is called for like an Old Fashioned or Mojito. Use this rum and the added sugar simply isn't needed. Very special juice and great value!

What a beautiful rum that offer so many layers and a real different taste from the rest of Bacardi range. I love Bacardi Ocho but with Diez, Bacardi managed to take it to a new level! Notes of Banana and vanilla are clear on the nose and the palate, with a slight cocoa nuance.

I've been purchasing this product since it first came out. Unique age statement, great price. Nice notes of vanilla and caramel, velvety smooth. It's perfectly suited as a sipper, but sometimes I spiced it up with a little bit of ginger ale and it's delicious. I love it.

I think Bacardi 10 is the best quality price liquid on the market! Every rum's lovers should have 1 bottle in the bar! Easy to drink at any moment during the night... Before, during or after supper!

Have never ventured into the aged rums before, always enjoyed a good Mojito, however when it came to brown spirits Bourbon was always my go to. I was very impressed by how smooth Bacardi 10yr was. Will certainly be going back to this incredible gem.

This rum is great for converting rum cocktail drinkers to neat rum sippers, as well as whisky drinkers to being open to rum. It's not overpowering while still being savory and easy to go down. Would recommend trying it. Plus - the bottle looks great on your shelf!

Great sipping (neat) spirit, rivals an XO Cognac at a quarter of the price.

FAQs

Aged rum is older rums that have matured and lost a bit of the original liquid from evaporation, but have a more complex character than unaged rum. That amount of liquid that evaporates during aging is affectionately called the 'angels share'.
The best way to drink anything is the way that you like it. If you're looking for a suggestion - try it the same way you would whisky. Often rum is drank with a bit of water in it, or an ice cube or two. This gives rum the best sipping experience.
This depends. Often, rum is required to age for at least one year. However, rums are aged for differing years which attributes to changes in color and flavor. White rum is aged for the least amount of time, where dark rum is aged for some time.
Rum is aged in oak casks - commonly bourbon casks, but sometimes wooden casks or stainless steel tanks. Each distiller is different - so its always a good idea to read how they age their rum for a full understanding of the product.
