    I love this cocktail but I wish they could make the color stable. It is rarely the light lavender color it is supposed to be from the Creme de Violette. These were a sickly pinkish gray color. It is unappetizing.

    I had never had an Aviation before so I don’t know how this compares to one made in a bar, but it’s very good and I love the floral taste (it’s also sweet and citrusy). Maybe one of these days I’ll find a bottle of Creme de Violette and make my own.
