Love this stuff! The light orange essence makes it great to add into so many drinks or even with sparkling water. I always want to have it on hand now.

If you want a perfect margarita, you need to use Cointreau, nothing else will do. It gives the perfect amount of crisp sweetness without being overpowering. It has a smooth orange flavor, and actually we have used it in various other drinks as well! We opted for the 1 liter bottle because it was only a little more than the 750 ml. Other triple sec liquors can't compare and will only dull your drinks. Spend a little more on a top shelf product. You won't be disappointed.

I love the flavor and depth Cointreau adds to my margaritas. It really kicks it up a notch and makes my margaritas taste the same as my local bar. I have used it in my mai tai, cosmos and side car. I can't even tolerate "deshmyper" in my drinks anymore

This has elevated my cocktails. I've used this in margaritas and other drinks. It is amazing and higher alcohol content than normal triple sec!

The flavor of this liquor is just perfect, not as sweet as the other brand brandy-based orange liqueur, just has the right amount of sweet and nice strong orange flavor. You can drink this just with ice or mix and create delicious cocktails.

This was my first time actually trying Cointreau outside of a mixed drink at a bar. I first tried the liquor on the rocks and it was quite good. Had a nice balance of orange flavor with a decent amount of burn on the back end. I then tried the "classic margarita recipe", which consists of 1 ounce Cointreau, 2 ounces of blanco tequila, and 1 ounce of lime juice. You get a subtle sweet orange flavor along with a not too overpowering tequila taste. This drink ended up being very good and I could definitely see myself drinking this quite a bit. I am very happy with this bottle of Cointreau and definitely foresee it being in my liquor cabinet for years to come.

I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review. Cointreau makes a flavorful margarita that is smooth and refreshing. I use 2 oz tequila, 1 oz Cointreau and 1/2 ounce fresh time juice and that it's. I'll never use anything else for margaritas.

Cointreau is a specialty spirit from a time-tested French family recipe. I learned more about Cointreau triple sec liqueur (and enjoyed some sips) as an Incentivized program. All Cointreau is a brand of orange liquor, which is called triple sec. Only Cointreau preserves the Angers, France family recipe of this particular product, which is now distilled in Paris. Having a party or going to one? Cointreau bottles are classy and sturdy for a Halloween or Autumn tablescape. The Original Cointreau Margarita is a terrific cocktail anytime of year. Here are the ingredients for your shaker: One part Cointreau 2 parts tequila One part fresh lime

FAQs

Triple sec is a category of drinks — specifically, a group of dry orange liqueurs — and Cointreau is one of them. On its own, the term “triple sec” can be a bit confusing, as it refers to both a category of liqueurs and, more colloquially, to a family of inexpensive, low-quality orange liqueurs. That’s why it’s important to distinguish between Cointreau and triple sec: Cointreau is stronger, smoother, and has far more complexity to it than your average triple sec, with a smooth orange flavor that walks a fine line between sweetness and bitterness.
The abstract answer is that the ingredients of the margarita are totally up to you, the mixologist, the artist, the Picasso of liquor (Drink-asso?). However, in reality, you definitely need Cointreau instead of a cheap triple sec or orange liqueur. The main reason for this is that Cointreau promises a well-balanced margarita that doesn’t veer too strongly into either sweetness or bitterness. The difference between a Cointreau margarita and a standard triple sec margarita is obvious.
Cointreau is a versatile liqueur that goes well with a range of citrus juices, coffee or hot chocolate, hot or cold apple cider, or sour mix and club soda. You can also drink Cointreau with amaretto or dry sparkling wine, or mix it in a cocktail with some tangy lime juice, orange, ice, and sparkling water — this is the classic Cointreau Fizz cocktail. Don’t be afraid to try Cointreau straight, as well, because it’s got a lovely sweet flavor that’s great on its own.
Cointreau is one of the most recognizable and trusted names in the universe of orange liqueurs, so giving a bottle to someone as a gift is a great gesture. Cointreau is crafted in Saint-Barthélemy-d'Anjou in France and is considered an essential ingredient in a wide range of cocktails — including, of course, the margarita. If your gift recipient enjoys mixing cocktails and having a colorful bottle of high-quality liqueur on their shelf, Cointreau won’t disappoint.
