Product description
The famous recipe for Gilbey’s® Gin was born in nineteenth century England. It became such a popular gin throughout the world that a license to produce it in the United States was granted in 1938. In making a fine London Dry Gin such as Gilbey’s, the fermentation process is similar to whiskey production. The fundamental difference is that the congeners, the natural taste elements that are so necessary to Bourbon and Scotch are absent. Instead, gin’s flavor is introduced to the alcohol when it is in a vaporous form and made to pass through a “filter” of juniper berries, herbs and spices.

Joshua Extremely similar to Beefeater gin, almost identical. I'm not sure I could tell the difference blindfolded, definitely one of the best cheap gins ever. Highly recommend it for those who don't want to spring for a more expensive bottle needlessly.
Kyle Verified BuyerVerified BuyerIncredibly tasty. You can take the Juniper berries immediately. Club soda and this is a match made in heaven!
Theresa L. Verified BuyerVerified BuyerGilbey dry gin is a brand that I enjoy because of the juniper aroma. It is very suitable for martinis as well as the flavor it brings to a bloody Mary.
Karen Verified BuyerVerified BuyerThis is the brand used by my dad, a naval officer. it’s classic. and very well priced
Marc Of all Gin I have ever tasted, Gilbey's is the one for me. It has that Juniper snap and other natural flavors that makes the perfect drink. Nobody else comes close, that is if you are making Gin & Tonic or other mixed drinks, the price is fair. For under $20, it is phenomenal. It goes great with Canada Dry Tonic Water , Schweppes tonic as well as their ginger ale. The nice thing I've found tasty is that it goes well with sweets and sours, so I blended it with Ocean Spray Cran Cherry, Cran Blackberry , Schweppes ginger ale, or Sprite/7 up with a squeeze of lime and lemon, then a good shaking over ice. That my friends is a tasty beverage.
Nikolay Verified BuyerVerified Buyergreat value and very smooth
C Verified BuyerVerified BuyerBeen drinking Gilbeys for years. Great gin.
Kelly Verified BuyerVerified BuyerThis is the best gin ever especially for the price it’s getting harder and harder to find-I’ve been drinking this since I became legal-a long time-it’s kinda dry but not like a martini dry-this goes so well with a fresh lime-so try it-you’ll love it-lots of juniper in it too-enjoy!!!
