Product Description

Bombay Original Dry Gin uses eight botanicals instead of Sapphire's ten. These botanicals are blended to produce a solid, versatile gin with no one botanical dominating the others. This makes Bombay Dry Gin flexible enough to be used in gin and tonics, martinis with twists and many more drinks. Though Bombay Dry is clean with fertile flavours, you don't have an extremely delicate gin here that you need to fear overpowering with strong mixers

Drizly Expert Notes

While Bombay Sapphire may be the more popular of the Bombay family, Bombay Dry Gin is the original. Produced from a recipe that dates to 1761, the modern formula was brought to its current state in 1959. Today, it's at the heart of every gin that rolls out of the factory.

To produce the distinctive aroma and characteristic of the gin, Bombay uses eight signature botanicals including licorice, iris root, almonds, angelica, coriander seeds, cassia bark, lemon peel and juniper berries. Each ingredient is picked by hand and vapor infused into the gin to preserve the flavor and aroma.

A sip of Bombay Dry Gin is distinctly earthy and herbal, which isn't much of a surprise considering the ingredients. However, it also has a spicy, fruity and floral taste with a twinge of bitterness and a dry finish that doesn't overwhelm the palate.

Although you could drink Bombay Dry Gin on its own, it's best served in a classic or modern cocktail. Mix it with tonic water and a twist of lime or lemon to create a light, crisp and refreshing gin and tonic. For something classy, mix it with vermouth for the perfect gin martini or Gibson. When a cocktail calls for gin, buy Bombay Dry Gin online through Drizly and starting mixing it up.
