Product description

Introduced in 1977, Grand Marnier Cuvée Louis Alexandre is a tribute to the founder of Grand Marnier brand, Louis-Alexandre Marnier Lapostolle. Same as the classic Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge, Cuvée Louis Alexandre combines the essence of exotic bitter oranges with higher quality cognac. Grand Marnier Cuvée Louis Alexandre contains 40% ABV and combines 82% of VSOP cognac (Very Superior Old Pale) and 18% of orange liqueur. This refined, premium liqueur has intense flavors of cognac and macerated citrus softened by notes of pine and Earl Grey. It also has a very long finish for an intense taste and a contemporary experience of the warmth of Grand Marnier liqueur. Louis Alexandre is closed in the iconic, sinuous bottle with the wax seal and is distinguished by warm amber color with tints of copper and orange. Thanks to its complexity, Grand Marnier Cuvée Louis Alexandre is perfect for serving neat, on the rocks, or in a Grand Marnier signature cocktail.

FAQs

Cognac is a type of brandy that takes its name from the Cognac region of France. Made from twice-distilled white wine, Cognac is distilled in copper pots and aged in wooden barrels. The production techniques of Cognac are very specific, requiring a particular type of grapes, distillation practices and aging requirements.
Hennessy is a Cognac that is made in France but was started by an Irishman. Despite the common belief that Hennessy is a type of whiskey, it is made from grapes — grapes that have been twice-distilled and aged. The only notable similarity it bears to whiskey is that both are aged in oak barrels.
Cognac consumed as an appetizer is usually served neat. It’s also common practice to add a little bit of water, which makes the drink fruitier and more floral. Some water can also help to bring out the subtle spiciness of Cognac while also making it a bit smoother to drink.
