Aberlour Distillery creates Speyside single-malt Scotch whisky. You'll find the actual distillery in Aberlour, Scotland, near the River Spey and Lour tributary, but you needn't hop on a plane to enjoy the bottles it produces. Instead, grab a few from Drizly at a great price and without the expensive travel.
Many of the Aberlour whiskies come with age statements. We recommend the 10-, 12-, 16- and 18-year vintages if you're looking for a fuller body and more complex flavors. Each whisky gets aged in an ex-bourbon cask, which lends even more flavor to the liquor.
If you're looking for a sweeter whisky, try a vintage that has been aged in a wine or sherry cask. The Aberlour A'Bunadh is an excellent example. It has a creamy texture that will appeal to veteran and new whisky connoisseurs alike. You'll detect hints of raisin and vanilla in the whisky, so pair it with seafood, chicken or a summer salad.
James Fleming built the Aberlour Distillery back in 1879. The company has devoted itself to using old-world processes for distilling and bottling its whiskies, so you can trust the refinement such a long history brings to the table — or, rather, the glass.
