There aren't many household names in wine that bring the kind of quality found in a bottle of Josh Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon. That's because not many of those wines count world-class expertise as one of their building blocks. In 2005, internationally renowned sommelier Joseph Carr set out to make wine from California with the idea of making top quality products for anyone's budget, and that is what he did. Since 2007, Josh Cellars has been taking advantage of the rich, succulent, bold flavors created by the Californian sun and their Cabernet Sauvignon is no exception.
The grapes of this elegant red wine are harvested from across regions of California, including Mendocino, Napa and Sonoma. The result is aromas of deep black and red fruits such as cherries and blackberries, along with notes of cinnamon, espresso and vanilla from its oak aging. It has a drawn out finish of toasted oak and mellow tannins making this wine an excellent choice for food pairings. Dishes best served with this include spiced pork, espresso rubbed tenderloins, grilled vegetables or even charcuterie.
