Product Description
The Joel Gott 815 Cabernet Sauvignon has aromatics of mocha, roasted blue fruits, plums, and cherry spice. The wine enters sweet on the palate, well-structured and with firm tannins mid-palate, followed by a long, balanced finish.

For years, Joel Gott was known for Gott's Roadside, a locally-sourced burger joint with a thoughtful menu steeped in American tradition and California flavors. But as he expanded Gott's Roadside to four loactaions, he never forgot about his family's love for wine and the grapes necessary to create it. So he eventually purchased some Zinfandel vines and successfully bottled what he felt was true expression of these California grapes.
To get there, the family blends grape appellations from all over California, allowing each location to bring something to the blend. The 815 Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from Napa, Lodi, Lake County, Sonoma and Santa Ynez. These grapes make a wine that is has ripe and juicy red and black fruits with a touch of cherry and tobacco. This wine sees new American oak that lends a slight buttery roundness and a creamier mouthfeel. The Gotts are so fond of the end result that they named it after the birthday of their daughter, August 15th. Wines like these are what you want with a char-grilled steak and roasted vegetables or maybe even some barbecue. But a more poignant match-up just might be with a roadside burger and fries.
