Shiraz’s popularity continues to grow nationwide because of its flavor concentration and soft, forward fruit. In Washington we have identified areas within the Columbia Valley where the varietal does extremely well. e grapes are picked when the flavors are concentrated and very ripe. Cabernet Sauvignon was blended in to add structure and richness and a touch of Lemberger was added for spice. is is a very complex Shiraz. Its aromas of cherry blossom, blueberry and sage are followed by flavors of raspberry, plum, cinnamon stick, orange zest and roasted coffee. Pair with a spicy stir fry or marinated flank steak.
