Based on the original "Bitter of Turin" recipe from the 1860's, this classic aperitif is created by infusing numerous herbs and roots with a pure grain spirit. Gran Classico's color is the natural result of these herbs, which include bitter orange peel, wormwood, gentian, rhubarb and other aromatic plants. Amazingly complex and refreshingly bittersweet, Gran Classico is extremely versatile and can be enjoyed in many fashions. It can be mixed into a tall glass of iced, sparkling water in the traditional Italian style, added to a fine ale, or incorporated in classic cocktails, such as the Negroni and Americano.
