Dry red slightly sparkling wine of the autochthonous Barbera grape of Piedmont. Ripe Barbera grapes, picked by hand, originate from the Alfieri hills near the town of San Damiano d’Asti. First is fermented in steel tanks for 2 months, next the fermentation is repeated in big tanks under pressure called autoclave. When the proper level of carbon dioxide is reached, the process is stopped and the wine, obtained in this way, is slightly sparkling, filtered and drinkable.
