Product description

Bitters create wonderful layers of flavour, and bring balance to drink and food recipes in just a few magical dashes. “A cocktail cabinet without Angostura is like a kitchen without salt and pepper.” ANGOSTURA® aromatic bitters adds a layer of complexity, intensifies the flavor of other ingredients, counteracts the harshness of acidic contents and decreases the harshness of spirits. It’s the can’t-miss bottle behind the bar, featuring an over-sized label and distinct yellow cap. What can you say about a classic? Angostura is a classic. Bitters were all originally medicinal, and I don't know what health benefits Angostura ever claimed; but making good cocktails into great ones always improves my outlook, and I'm sure my health is improved by a more mellow worldview!

Must have for a Manhattan cocktail and get the Maraschino cherries, too! Freshy’s got them, also.

I use Angostura bitters in drinks and also with club soda and lime for nausea or motion sickness - works well.

    A classic

Recipes with Angostura Bitters

Salted Caramel Old Fashioned

  • wedding

This take on an old fashioned combines the distinct flavor of salted caramel with bourbon for the perfect fall cocktail.

Sage Apple Old Fashioned

  • brandy

Since it can't be fall year round, might as well drink this seasonal riff on the classic old fashioned. The sage syrup and apple brandy pair nicely together to capture autumn in a rocks glass.

Bad Blood

  • bourbon

This bourbon based cocktail was mixed up with Taylor Swift's chart-topper, Bad Blood in mind. It's a strong drink with a kick of flavor. If you're feuding with a friend and in the mood to just kick back and brood, this drink is for you.
