About Jarritos
Jarritos fruit-flavored sodas proudly embody the flavors and culture of Mexico and are a beloved member of the Drizly family. Jarritos was founded in 1950 by a chemist named Don Francisco Hill, also known as "El Güero." Jarritos means "little jugs" in Spanish, homage to the clay jugs traditionally used for aguas frescas. The soda was launched in Mexico City and quickly became a hit throughout the country. It's been selling in the United States for about a quarter of a century. Oddly enough, the first Jarritos soda was coffee flavored. El Güero soon came to his senses, however, and the legendary tamarind and mandarin flavors were created. Mandarin is arguably the best of the Jarritos flavors and definitely the best seller. The company currently goes through 30 million mandarin oranges every year. Jarritos upholds its tradition of purity and flavor in several ways. Unlike many other sodas, real granulated sugar is used as a sweetener (as opposed to high-fructose corn syrup). Additionally, Jarritos is also readily available in glass bottles. It's lightly carbonated, naturally flavored and terrifically delicious. You can find several Jarritos flavors including mandarin, tamarind, grapefruit, lemon-lime, guava, strawberry, pineapple and more on Drizly. If you're just looking for bubbles, their Mineragua line is also available here.
