Flavors of Meyer lemons and Key limes integrate with hints of grapefruit, gooseberry and citrus, culminating in a long, creamy finish. Long, cool seasons in New Zealand’s Marlborough region allow our grapes to mature slowly and gain character and complexity. The grapes are harvested at night and gently crushed before undergoing cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Cupcake Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from an iconic region on the South Island of New Zealand. It claims signature notes of wines from the area but focuses on more tropical flavors including key limes, juicy grapefruit and pineapple. Its classic gooseberry and white nectarine also shows itself nicely. This is a wine to enjoy on a bright, summer day next to a pool. Cupcake themselves even instructs you to try out a Raspberry Lime Poptail, which is a popsicle on the side or even in the glass. Not only would this wine make a great refreshing summer dessert, but also as a base of of a fruity sangria, when the day spent poolside leads to an evening partying in the backyard.
