Born out of leftover cranberries from Thanksgiving, this recipe has seen me through the winter and then some. The smoky layers of Mezcal combined with the sweet tart cranberry and lime? Heaven.


Cranberry Simple Syrup: Combine 8 cups fresh or frozen cranberries, 2 3/4 cups sugar, 2 1/2 cups water, and a pinch of salt in a saucepan over low heat. Stir until sugar dissolves or about 10 minutes. Strain syrup through a sieve and stir in lemon juice. Let cool.

How to Mix

  1. Pour all into a shaker, shake it up, and pour over ice
  2. Garnish with cranberries
