Because isn't that the whole point?
Located in the appellation Moulis-en-Médoc , the Malmaison castle produced his first wine from 24 hectares of vines planted in the 1970s They occupy calcareous clay soils where the limestone outcrops substrate , ie a terroir conducive to both varieties of this wine, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, the latter representing a fifth of the vintage. The harvest is manual and followed by a drastic sorting to make wine that does the most beautiful fruits . The vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks before long aging of 16 months which runs for 40% in new barrels and the rest in barrels of a wine. This results in Moulis-en-Médoc in the dark and intense color, with a nose open on raspberry, cherry, blackcurrant and plum, announcing a frank and round mouth .View all products by Chateau Malmaison
