Hand selected rows from Elephant Mountain from Yakima Valley AVA, Canyon Vineyard Ranch, and Doval vineyards from the Columbia Valley AVA are the foundation for this red wine. After primary fermentation in open tanks, the wine components were aged in barrel in individual varietal and vineyard block lots for 16 months. After blending, the wine was aged for another 3 months in barrel to allow the wine to harmonize into a seamless blend. This silky red blend offers big fruit flavors and well-integrated, velvety tannins. Aromatics of pipe tobacco, leather and dark fruit layer with ripe boysenberry flavors and a hint of black pepper. The finish lingers with blackberry jam and toasty, graphite back notes. Pair with rosemary and peppercorn-crusted pork loin, lamb burgers or a grilled Portobello sandwich.
