Chill up several bottles of this Verdicchio di Matelica Bisci and your summer meals and cocktail hours will only get better... The Italian Verdicchio grape delivers a wonderfully fresh, clean white worthy of sipping on its own, or pair it with many different lighter food options. Pour your first glasses and enjoy with assorted antipasti. We love the purity of this Bisci with fried baby artichokes and garlicky sauteed cauliflower. As for the entree, the hit of minerals, white flowers, citrus and apple notes all lend themselves to fish and seafood, chicken, vegetable dishes, salads and much more. Whole, grilled fish with lime, basil and cilantro is a favorite with this delightful Italian white. Branzino is our favorite. If you're craving pasta, we recommend linguine with white clam sauce. (We like to grill our clams so they have a little extra smokiness; be sure to put them in a pan on the grill so that you don't lose any of that delicious juice!) This Bisci is able to handle a cream sauce if you're game. Lobster pasta with cream and fresh Campari tomatoes will have your diners begging for more... This Verdicchio is also perfect with a warm summer evening's meal of fried chicken, corn on the cob and a creamy potato salad with chopped scallions. Come deciderete mai? After the meal is done, bring out a freshly opened bottle to go with a Tarte Tatin, one of our all-time favorite apple tarts. The best part about this one is the caramelization of the apples. Heavenly. Buon appetito winelovers!
