Brooklyn Pilsner is a German style Pilsner brewed in no place other than the “craft beer mecca", of Brooklyn, New York. Brooklyn Brewery was established in 1988, in a neighborhood of immigrants, small business owners and artists. Brooklyn Brewery has been a proud supporter of art, music and the community in general since it was founded. It brews nearly every major style ranging from lagers to hoppy ales, as well as sours and barrel aged stouts. Brooklyn Pilsner is merely a hopped up version of Brooklyn Brewery's flagship, Brooklyn Lager.
This beer pours yellow, clear with a moderate white head that sticks around for quite awhile. It has medium high carbonation. The aroma is pine, citrus and cereal grains. The taste consists of graham cracker, pine, citrus and biscuit. The mouth feel is crisp and clean, just as a pilsner should feel. Overall Brooklyn Pilsner is a good crisp pilsner from Brooklyn Brewery with mild hop bitterness.
Brooklyn Pilsner is good for all occasions and audiences. It is a good companion for watching the game or alone after a long day at work, but works just as well for crowds at a party. Although it is light and refreshing, it can be consumed all year round in any climate. It comes in twelve ounce bottles and cans, and can be purchased in individual six-packs or variety packs that allow you to try different types or styles of Brooklyn Brewery beers.
