I don’t think they had it at the store. But they suggested something else that was really good.

Wanted to try this but they didn't have it so regular Boston Lager was what I was offered.

FAQs

Light beer is a beer (usually, but not always, a pale lager) that has lower calories and alcohol than typical beer. The drop in calories often means light beers have a "lighter" taste as well, but they can be great session beers if you're planning to have more than one.
Some beer snobs will tell you light beers taste like beer-flavored water. It is true that by cutting the calories, you're significantly reducing (or eliminating) things like hops or yeast that bring flavor.
Most light beers have a significantly low alcohol content, with some going as low as 1-2% ABV, but typically 3% - 4%. Compare this with most comparable "regular" beers, which fall in the range of 4% - 5% ABV.

Samuel Adams

Sam Adams began with a potentially terrible idea...which is how most fun ideas begin. Founder Jim Koch quit his job to brew beer in his kitchen. This was 1984, when good American beer was as common as good American style. But Jim believed he could give American drinkers a better beer option than they. 36 years, over 3600 beer awards, and a craft beer revolution later, Sam Adams is still on a mission to push the frontiers of brewing on behalf of good beer drinkers.

Try our beers. We make a lot of them.

Boston Lager put us on the map, but today, Sam makes is all about variety. We make big, juicy IPAs. We make light, refreshing beers you can session. All are about great ingredients, and great taste. And we try new things every day. Some good. Some...interesting. Some great. The great ones are right up there on this page. Give one a try.

Wicked Easy

Picture this – you're not doing a damn thing. This is the beer that pairs with that. Easy drinking, bursting with citrus fruit, Wicked Easy is a refreshing, kick all the way back go-to when you need a light beer big on flavor.

Wicked Easy Spicy Lime Chicken Skewers

INGREDIENTS

12 oz can Wicked Easy

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tsp ancho chile powder

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp cayenne pepper

2 tsp brown sugar

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

5-6 sprigs of cilantro

Juice of 1 lime

2 tbsp olive oil

2 lbs chicken thighs, sliced

DIRECTIONS

In a large bowl, whisk together Wicked Easy, garlic, ancho chile powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, brown sugar, salt, pepper, lime juice, and olive oil. Add chicken thighs and cilantro sprigs. Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours, up to overnight.

Prepare a grill for direct high heat.

Thread chicken onto metal skewers. If using wooden skewers, pre-soak in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning. Discard marinade.

Lightly oil grill grate. Place skewers on grill and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until chicken is browned and all sides and cooked through.

Broiler instructions: Adjust oven rack to the highest position and preheat broiler on high. Arrange skewers in a single layer on a foil lined baking sheet. Broil on one side for 5-7 minutes, until lightly browned. Turn and broil for another 5-7 minutes, until cooked through and charred around the edges.
