All About Miller Brewing
Few American beers are as iconic as Miller. The Miller Brewing Company was founded in 1855 after Frederick Miller emigrated from Germany carrying his unique brewer's yeast. He purchased a small Milwaukee brewery for $2,300, slapped his name on the business and the rest is history.
Miller Brewing changed hands for the first time in 1966, growing with each new owner. Today, its parent company is the multinational Molson Coors Brewing Company. Miller has even acquired other breweries over the years, including Hamm's Brewery and Plank Road Brewery, making it one of the biggest beer brands in the United States. In fact, Miller Lite is the third bestselling beer in the country.
Miller Lite is a light lager-style beer with a rich yellow hue and ultra-thick white head. Despite its subtle hint of earthy hops, Miller Lite boasts massive amounts of carbonation that explodes in the mouth. It's a no-fuss, affordable beer worth keeping in the fridge, which is why it's remained so popular over the years.
Other Miller beers include Miller High Life, Miller Genuine Draft, Miller 64, Miller Fortune and Near Beer Sharps.
