Product description
Munich Kellerbier Anno 1417 shines with a seductive golden honey color. A beer with a distinctive character: earthy, bold, quaffable and yet refreshingly mild and light. Just like a real Bavarian. Creamy and effervescent, typical of unfiltered beers, a delightful ticklish mouthfeel. Aromas of caramel, honey and plum dominate and emphasize the beer’s malty, spicy flavor. Unmistakable hints of apple and grapefruit bring in a fruity freshness.

FAQs
Kellerbiers are generally unfiltered, unpasteurized lagers originating from Germany – the name translates to “cellar beer," referring to the tradition of drinking it right from the lagering tank without aging. If you've ever seen a the haze of a New England IPA you have a general sense of what the haze in a Kellerbier looks like, though you can expect the hops to be a whole lot more subtle.
Expect malty, bready sweetness, and a hoppiness that gives low to medium-high flavor with peppery, spicy or herbal taste. The finish will likely be bitter with a malty edge.
Expect an ABV between 4% and 6% in your Kellerbier, helping it land solidly in the session beer category.
