Dark lager is a lagered beer that has a darker or more opaque color than the standard golden-to-amber beers you typically see. Styles include American/International dark lager (a catch all), Czech dark lager, Munic dunkel and Schwarzbier.
Dark lagers tend to be smooth, on the crisper side, and surprisingly light in body. You won't be overwhelmed by malt aroma or roasted flavors, but expect higher carbonation than most ales, offering satisfying belches.
