The Maine Beer Company was born of two brothers experimenting with a home brew set-up. After much experimentation, the Spring Peeper Ale, now known simply as Peeper, was born. A brew that was once sold door-to-door is now available in a tasting room in Freeport, Maine, in many stores and right here on Drizly.
The Maine Beer Company offers 11 signature brews, all with distinctive names backed by charming stories. The Lunch brew is an IPA with a tropical citrus flavor that's named after a whale spotted off the Maine coast. The Zoe brew is named after the brewer's daughter and offers dark raisin and chocolate notes. Mean Old Tom, aged on vanilla beans, is named for a favorite uncle. Woods & Waters celebrates the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument and appropriately features Maine-grown barley along with pine, berries, and citrus.
If you live in the area, you can enjoy the Maine Beer Company's flavors while participating in 22-mile bike rides each Thursday night from May through September. If you're not close enough to participate, you can order your brews from Drizly and plan your own tasty bike ride or simply kick back with these flavorful brews at home.
