Fermented in oak barrels for a duration of 7 months. Pale yellow colour with brilliant hues and reflections sparkling in the glass. On the nose there are notes of pear, melon, minerals and even a subtle suggestion of herbs. On the palate it is refreshing, slightly sweet and with a zingy acidity. Very well balanced with quite a bitter taste which gives it great structural character. Very good value for money. High above this sleepy valley which has witnessed millennia of civilizations from ancient Celtic outpost to a 13th century monastery to the present day Bodegas Avanthia lie the slate covered vineyards. The 35 year old vines are grafted from centenary gnarled Godello vines planted by monks but now resides in the courtyard of the present day winery. Carrying on the tradition into the new millennium Bodegas Avanthia is pleased to offer you their finest Godello.
