Film and drink pairings for Black Friday weekend
November 26, 2019

For some, Black Friday weekend represents a time to get in some opportunistic holiday shopping, a competitive sporting event of sorts or even a unique family bonding experience. For others, it is a lawless abandon where our most beloved department stores and most tolerable roads devolve into a Mad Max-esque hellscape.
Personally, we fall into the latter group. So for those who’d rather spend this weekend lounging on the sofa than standing in line, we’ve put together a list of must-watch movies to help steer your weekend. We also decided to pair said movies with some tangibly-appropriate drinks because hey, it’s the holidays.
Dawn of the Dead (2004)
A bunch of brainless zombies converge on a shopping mall. It’s basically the official movie of Black Friday (zing!).

Step Brothers
A movie about families coming together that features multiple argument-filled scenes around the dinner table. Again, the Thanksgiving/Black Friday parallels should be obvious here.
