Margaritas shouldn’t get all the limelight (hehe).
When it comes to tequila cocktails, margaritas are the top dog. (Please, hold your gasps.) But tequila season is here – yep, it’s a thing – and you can’t celebrate this season of discovery with the same ole’ drink. Don’t worry though, we’ve got you covered. We even threw in a beertail just for the heck of it.
HORNITOS STRAWBERRY BASIL SMASH.
You'll need: 1 ½ parts Hornitos Plata Tequila, ¾ part simple syrup, 3 lemon wedges, 2 - 3 basil leaves, 2 strawberries, cut into quarters, strawberries and basil leaves for garnish. Combine basil leaves, lemon wedges, strawberries and simple syrup into one half of mixing tin/glass. Muddle to extract juices and oils. Add Hornitos and ice and shake until well chilled. You'll need: 2 parts Espolòn® Tequila Blanco, 1 part lime juice, grapefruit soda, ice, a lime wheel and a pinch of sea salt. Pour Espolòn and lime juice into a highball glass over ice. You’ll need: 1 bottle Corona Extra, 1½ ounces tequila, 1½ ounces orange juice, ½ ounce grenadine and 1 lime wedge, squeezed. Pop open a bottle of Corona and drink it down to the top of the white label. Pour in tequila. Give it a splash of grenadine. Top with orange juice. Squeeze lime wedge in and stir.
