Drizly’s 2020 corporate holiday gift guide
January 13, 2020
Corporate gifts are a great way to show appreciation for your clients, employees and boss(es) around the holiday season. But getting the right gift for your family members is hard enough, let alone these people.
So, we’ve put together some ideas to help you snag the best gifts for your corporate partners. You ready?
Gift #1: sparkling wine
Sparkling wine is a great gift any time of year, but especially around the holidays. In fact, sparkling wine consumption is actually growing year over year, and historically spikes around the holidays. So much so that sparkling wine accounted for 25% of gifts on Drizly from October to December last year. So not only is it a perfect gift to give, but it’s an awesome gift to receive. Not sure if your giftee is into sparkling wine? It’s a great gift for your colleagues that love brie, seafood and fruit based dessert. Not sure if they’re into those? No worries. Sparkling wine actually pairs with most foods, so if you’re not sure what they’re into, this gift is still a safe bet. Since sparkling wine is synonymous with celebration as well, it’s a great option for colleagues celebrating a milestone. Whether this is an employee gift or a client gift, we have a few bottle suggestions.

La Marca Prosecco157
Gift #2: red wine
Last year, red wine accounted for 14% of total gifts on Drizly. What does that mean? Red wine is an awesome gift. It’s easy to personalize once you know your giftees taste, and can fit any budget. Red wine pairs very well with many of the hearty foods we eat during the holidays, and is great for those colleagues who you’ve heard talking about how much they love mulled wine. If your giftee is a vegetarian, we’d recommend going with a lighter red, as they tend to pair better with vegetables.
Carnivor Cabernet Sauvignon28
La Crema Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir16
Gift #3: whiskey
Whiskey has seen a huge resurgence in the last decade, which means there are a lot of whiskey buffs out there. In fact, whiskey has made up more than 13% of total orders on Drizly so far in just this year alone. If you have someone on your list that is all about a good pour–whether on the rocks or neat, we’ve got some great suggestions for gifts.

Jack Daniel's Sinatra Select Tennessee Whiskey7
Gift #4: tequila
Fact: people who love tequila, REALLY love tequila. And there are a lot of them out there. Tequila’s a great gift because the flavor options and price points are so diverse, so they fit any preference and budget. Have someone on your list who loves when their drinks have an oaky flavor? They’d love reposado. Maybe they’re barbecue aficionados and like a smoky finish? Gift a mezcal. There’s something for each flavor type in the tequila family. Do yourself a favor and give the people what they want so they don’t get...salty (already wish I could take that back).

Gift #5: budget-friendly
There are going to be times where you’re just not sure what your recipient’s preferences are, and that’s totally cool. In these circumstances, we’d suggest keeping your gifts within a budget that feels comfortable to you.

Now that you’ve got your picks down, let’s talk actually getting them all to where they need to be. Chances are, you have a number of folks you’re buying for, and you’re trying to get them their gifts around the same time. If you’re buying for multiple people on your list, try this multiple gift form so you don’t have to worry about all the logistics behind getting and giving your gifts for everyone on your list. That’s it. Simple.
