Get the door, it's the liquor store
Next to other towns like Cherry Valley, Beaumont or Highland, Yucaipa (pronounced Yoo-kai-puh) is a uniquely named city for the... San Bernardino area. Right against the foothills of the nearby mountain range, Yucaipa can thank its Native American roots for the name, a Guachama term meaning “marshy land.” However, the exact meaning is somewhat debated among experts. In the early 20th century, farmers discovered that Yucaipa’s low elevation and varied climate created ideal growing conditions for stone fruit (peaches and plums) and walnuts. But, like most of California, many of these orchards are long gone, making way for a modern suburban community. Today, Yucaipa is best known for its Music and Arts Festival, a championship golf course, Spanish Revival-style homes and recreation in Wildwood Canyon State Park. In Yucaipa, Drizly has you covered for those summer nights in the Valley. From West-Coast IPAs to a huge selection of California wines, you can sip, relax and enjoy those mountain views.
