Get the door, it's the liquor store
You can find a handful of farmers' markets and several florists in town, but Roseville’s name isn’t actually related to... the much-loved blossom with which it shares its name. In fact, local historians aren’t too certain how the city earned its flowery title. One of the better origin stories suggests that the townspeople once gathered at a community picnic; the picnicking populace debated over a new name for the town (which at the time held the snooze-worthy moniker of Junction). Ultimately, the townspeople opted to name the city Roseville in honor of a beautiful woman named Rose who attended the event. The truth may not be quite as endearing, but the various stories undoubtedly add to the city’s allure. Roseville is situated close to Sacramento, the oft-forgotten capital city of the state. Even though the region is better known for its hipsters, trees and infamous serial killers, Roseville is as charming as its Disney princess name suggests. It may not be as tech-centric as its Bay Area neighbors, but Roseville is well within Drizly’s purview. Should you need a few bottles of wine for the next renaming picnic, Drizly has you covered.
