Sangria Recipes

Sangria a vino based drink originating in Spain, is made from a mixture of wine, juice, chopped fruit and sweet liqueurs and is the perfect batch cocktail to mix up for your next party. The possibilities are endless when it comes to making the perfect pitcher of sangria, from the type of wine you use (Bold Spanish varietals like Garnacha are a great start) to different fruit combinations, there is a recipe to please any palate. If you're a white wine fan, grab a bottle of Pinot Grigio or Riesling which are great with sweet tropical fruits like pineapple, fresh melon or stone fruits like peach. While we love a chilled glass of fruity sangria on a warm summer day, you can use this same technique to create sangrias year round by using winter fruits like blood orange or pear in your recipe.
