A warm, crackling fire. A fluffy, cozy blanket. Some soft holiday tunes. What’s missing from this picture? A fragrant glass of warm mulled wine! With cinnamon spice and orange zest, this spiced wine is perfect any winter night. 

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle of Chateau Ste. Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 1 bottle of Chateau Ste. Michelle Chardonnay
  • 2 oranges
  • 1 3-inch piece of ginger (peeled and thinly sliced)
  • 2-3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/3 tsp ground cloves

How to Mix

  1. Zest and juice 2 oranges into a large pot.
  2. Pour one bottle of Chateau Ste. Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon and one bottle of Chateau Ste. Michelle Chardonnay into the pot.
  3. Add 1/3 cup of brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves. Stir well.
  4. Cover and heat the mixture for about an hour but make sure it doesn't boil. 
  5. Strain and serve with a splash of brandy.
