Best Brunch Cocktails To Drink This Weekend

While there's no hard and fast rule to what makes something a "Brunch" cocktail, we think anything that pairs well with a typical breakfast (hello, bacon) is a great place to start. Salty, Sweet, Beer or Champagne, there's no wrong way to booze up your brunch.
Savory Brunch Cocktails

If sipping on a fully loaded bloody mary is your idea of a perfect Sunday, then savory brunch cocktails are for you. Salty beer cocktails like a Michelada are the perfect compliment to a hefty order of huevos rancheros. By building a cocktail with beer instead of hard liquor, you're also keeping the alcohol content low which means you can have 1 or 2 with breakfast and not spend the rest of your day in a haze. If you're in the mood for something more Mediterranean, we suggest the Capone. This whiskey, basil and balsamic cocktail may sound strange, but one sip and you'll be hooked on the tangy concoction.

Sweet Brunch Cocktails

In the mood for something sweet? You can't go wrong with a bubbly brunch mimosa (even better if they're 'bottomless'). The light sparkling wine, paired with tangy fresh citrus is the perfect way to balance out a sweet stack of pancakes or a rich plate of Eggs Benedict. Another classic sweet brunch cocktail is the Aperol Spritz, the slightly bitter and herbaceous flavor of the aperol kicks this orange and prosecco cocktail up a few notches. The Aperol Spritz is also easy to customize with your favorite flavors like mint or fresh berries.
