A happy heart runs on beer, well kind of… In moderate beer drinkers (2 alcoholic drinks per day for men and 1 alcoholic drink for women) research has shown a 20-40% decrease in coronary artery disease. These beer drinkers also showed an increase in levels of good cholesterol and a decrease in the bad. Doctors are saying that 1 ½-2 beers daily could lower the risk of heart disease by 25%.

#2) Drinking beer could reduce the likelihood of some cancers.

Xanthohumol is a compound found in beer. Studies of this compound have shown promise in preventing and even treating some cancers. Xanthohumol has also been known to fight off cancer causing enzymes and shut down abnormal cell growth.
